Catherine L. Fisk, Board Member

Catherine L. Fisk is Chancellor's Professor of Law at the University of California, Irvine. An expert in labor and employment law, Professor Fisk has authored three books: Labor Law in the Contemporary Workplace (with Cameron, Corrada, Dau-Schmidt & Malin, West Publishing Co., 2008), Labor Law Stories (with Laura J. Cooper, Foundation Press, 2005) and Working Knowledge: Employee Innovation and the Rise of Corporate Intellectual Property, 1800-1930 (University of North Carolina Press, 2009). 

A past United States Department of Justice, Civil Appellate attorney, Professor Fisk has briefed and argued numerous appeals on a pro bono basis and has served as a labor arbitrator. She is a trustee of the Law & Society Association and serves on the ethics review board of the Service Employees International Union. Professor Fisk's prior academic appointments include stints at Duke Law School, University of Southern California's Gould School of Law, Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, University of California, Los Angeles and University of Wisconsin.
